Security Chain link Fence Installation Using Heavy Duty Angle Iron Structural Intermediate And Corner Posts
Our company has a project in Africa divided into three sections as follows:
Project Requirements
Section 1: Security Fence
- Quantity: 600 m chain link fencing, height 1800 mm.
- Material: galvanized BS EN ISO 1461, powder coating EN 13438, green.
- Includes 7 gates: 4 vehicular gates (6.2 m, 6.2 m, 4.3 m, 5.0 m) and 3 pedestrian gates (900 mm).
Section 2: Perimeter Fence
- Quantity: 350 m chain link fencing, height 1800 mm.
- Material: galvanized BS EN ISO 1461, powder coating EN 13438, green.
- Includes 5 gates: 2 vehicular gates (6.3 m, 6.0 m) and 3 pedestrian gates (900 mm).
Section 3: High Security Perimeter Fence
- Quantity: 450 m chain link fencing, height 2400 mm.
- Extension: Includes 3 rows barbed wire on 500 mm angle post extensions.
- Gate: Includes 3 vehicular gates (2 units 6.2 m, 1 unit 4.3 m) with 3 rows barbed wire on 500 mm angle post extensions.
System Details Specification
Chain link fencing minimum height 1.8 m. or 2400mm
Powder coated galvanized chain link fencing installed to allow ventilation.
Installation to BS1722 Part 1 and Part 10.

2. Post Details
- Intermediate posts: steel angle, 1.8 m height, 40 × 40 × 5 mm, galvanized and powder coated, green RAL standard
- Corner posts: steel angle, 1.8 m height, 50 × 50 × 6 mm, galvanized, with winding brackets
- Longer posts required in selected locations
3. Pedestrian Gate Details
- Quantity: 3 gates
- Type: single leaf swing gate
- Clear opening: 900 mm
- Infill: chain link, green powder coating
- Finish: green powder coating
- Lock: sliding latch, lockable from inside only
- Drop bolt included
- Concrete block: 300 × 300 × 300 mm , 2 units per gate
- Block positioned flush with ground
- Hole lined with galvanized tube
- Opening direction: outward
- Ground clearance: 100 mm
4. Vehicle Gate Details
- Quantity: 6 gates
- Type: double leaf swing gate
- Opening widths: Gate 1-6.2 m,Gate-2 6.2 m,Gate- 3 4.3 m,Gate- 4 5.0 m,Gate-5: 6.3 m,Gate-6: 6.0 m. Gate opening size greater than road width
- Infill: chain link, green powder coating
