Mechanisms of anti-corrosion protection and applications
Formation of a dense protective film: Microcrystalline wax forms a continuous, dense, hydrophobic film on the surfaces of substrates such as metal, concrete or rubber, effectively preventing the ingress of corrosive agents such as moisture, oxygen, acids, alkalis and salts.
Anti-ageing for rubber and metal:
Used as a rust inhibitor in metal surface treatment to provide moisture-proof and anti-corrosion protection.
Corrosion protection in packaging and coatings: Used in food packaging, paper impregnation and fruit coatings to enhance moisture-proof and anti-penetration properties, thereby extending shelf life.
