Micronized wax imparts excellent abrasion resistance and scratch resistance to coatings. It reduces the surface coefficient of friction and forms a protective layer, making the coating “smoother” rather than “more vulnerable” when subjected to scratches—a critical property in wood finishes, industrial coatings, and printing inks.
